We typically work with small to medium sized businesses, as well national and international market leaders. We love helping small locally-owned businesses grow and compete with larger firms on the web and we enjoy the challenge of working with large corporate clients with demanding schedules and unique production requirements like ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Coldwell Banker, and others.
Who don't you work for?
We will work with almost any business of any size. But there are a few instances when we are not the best fit and we will let you know when we don't think we can serve your needs effectively. We are not a good fit for people or home-based businesses that have never sold a product or service before. This is because our experience has been that although many people may have a "great idea" not all of those ideas will succeed and placing all of your sales effort on the web before you experience selling offline can be difficult. Unfortunately if you've never sold your product offline, it's probably not going to sell well online and we don't want to be the scape goat for that. We also prefer to build a long term relationship with established businesses and organizations. If you plan to sell t-shirts online with funny sayings on them, then we're probably not a good fit (because we've seen dozens of people with the same idea and they have all flopped). We're also not always a good fit for someone that wants to build Amazon.com or Ebay.com on a $500 budget. It sounds funny but we get those calls frequently. It takes millions of venture capital dollars and hundreds, often thousand of staff members to build an amazon.com or ebay.com. So unless you are "million-dollar" serious then we're probably not a good fit. :)
Anyone can create a cheap web page or template, but creating a website that produces results is far more complex. Every Cybernautic project is produced, managed and promoted to maximize your return on investment based on the goals you identify. The saying “If you build it they will come” simply does not apply to the web. It’s important to design websites that visitors enjoy using, but our core philosophy is to design sites that can be easily found by the right people. Sites designed by Cybernautic are designed to deliver traffic to you!
You might be surprised to find out how affordable our services can be. Our pricing structure is simple. Contact us for a free quote to see how we can fit into your budget today!
What separates good design from great design is an
unwavering attention to detail. And while by definition a detail is small and
often inconsequential, at Cybernautic Design every feature is treated as
incredibly important. At Cybernautic our designers don’t write code, and our
programmers don’t create marketing strategies. Our Designers Design, our Programmers program and our strategy people...well they're...strategic.
The mistake most web companies make is they have the same person handle everything from design to programming to strategy. We have a full-service staff of professionals that focus on producing the best work in their field. When you work with Cybernautic, every aspect of your project gets specialized attention; brilliantly creative designers do the design work, our super-geeky programmers writing the code, and our marketing-centric search engine optimization (SEO) specialists handle the promotional aspects of the project.
This powerful combination of professionals working together guarantees that your project will produce results.
The Cybernautic staff is full of giving, caring people. Our President and CEO Chad Parker founded and is the Executive Director for a non-profit organization dedicated to radically changing an impoverished community of 20,000 slum-dwellers in Nairobi, Kenya. Sales Manager Greg Wilhelm is a part time youth pastor and serves on the state board for his church denominations youth. Communications Director Dave DeGooyer serves with international students at Illinois State University. Plus many more staffers serve their communities in various other ways. In addition to all of the external service time that our staff dedicates to the non-profit world; Cybernautic donates to several non-profits that are dedicated to making the world a better place. We believe we are blessed to be a blessing to others, so the least we can do is return the favor to those less fortunate and we are committed to helping as much as we can.
Our Humble Beginnings (1998-2000)
Cybernautic was started in 1998 with a 133MHZ computer with 64MB of RAM and a 1GB Hard drive in a basement in Bloomington, IL. Chad Parker, our founder and CEO, began Cybernautic at the age of 17. Driven by a passion for unwavering attention to detail, Cybernautic quickly outgrew the confines of its humble beginnings.
Overseas Expansion (2001-2006)
In 2001, after adding several employees, Cybernautic moved into a 2,000 sq. ft. office in downtown Bloomington, IL. In an effort to provide around the clock support and development, we opened an office in Baguio City, Philippines in 2006. Their 8am is our 5pm so around the clock support at Cybernautic doesn’t require the traditional ‘third shift.’
More Growth, More Expansion (2007-today)
By late 2008 we had outgrown the Bloomington office and
moved our headquarters to a beautiful new 3,500 sq ft studio in neighboring
Normal, IL. Just a few months after that (Jan 2009) we opened an office in
Peoria, IL to better serve the growing list of clients in the Greater Peoria
area. On Jan 30, 2010 Cybernautic was awarded the prestigious Small Business Excellence Award by the Chamber of Commerce. The 1st annual award was given a company chosen by a board of Chamber's from throughout the state of Illinois.
To this day we continue to grow and expand as more and more businesses see the results that we produce for our clients.
