Web Design for Professional Hockey
The Bloomington Prairie Thunder professional hockey team was using a popular website service for minor league teams called Infinity Pro Sport but they were disappointed with a substandard look and feel of the site, and the complex system for navigating and managing the website. They explained how cumbersome the site was for their staff to manage and they knew the site was not a big hit with their audience. So they approached us about giving the website and radical new look and just a few months later we delivered.
Simple, yet powerful...and mobile compatible too!
The new Prairie Thunder Hockey websites featured a slider on the home page that features the latest news and game center updates and highlights. The animation is simple but fully compatible with iphones and ipads to maximize visibility. The data from the game center is also automatically generated through third-party data provider for minor league hockey teams, so the Prairie Thunder staff doesn’t have to update that information manually, saving them time. This layout is also significantly easier to use than their old website. We stripped ALL unnecessary components out of the website so we could give users what they really want, and we created a unique new way to display sponsor ads that was highly visible without being totally intrusive in the web visitors experience.

The new look and feel of the Prairie Thunder website was so successful that the organization adopted the new website look and feel to drive their overall marketing campaign!

NOTE: Within 1 year of launching the new Prairie Thunder website, the Triple-A Peoria Rivermen hockey team took note and called Cybernautic for a complete redesign too!
